Hello Franklin Families!

Our 2022-2023 Reflections contest is underway! The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. We encourage any of your Pre-K students and up to participate!

2022-23 Reflections theme: Show Your Voice! Deadline: October 18, 2022 at 11:59 PM (just after Fall Break).

Create an account and submit entries online at https://www.utahpta.org/ref. Students may submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories!

Students participate in the appropriate division for their grade: Primary (Pre-K – Grade 2) Intermediate (Grades 3-5) Middle School (Grades 6-8), High School (Grades 9-12) Special Artist (All grades welcome).*

*Students who identify as having a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504 may enter in the Special Artist Division or grade division most closely aligned to their functional abilities.

All information about Reflections including how to enter, rules for entries, FAQs, etc, can be found here, but the two most important guidelines to keep in mind are: – students should submit an original work of art, and – students should complete the work themselves. And HAVE FUN!

If needed, the PTA and the school can help connect your student(s) to resources and supplies to successfully complete their Reflections entries, including photography, video, and audio equipment; art supplies; and more. We will also offer one-on-one coaching to talk through students’ entries and ensure they meet the criteria for their respective categories.
