How to contact PTA: franklin.elementary.pta.provo@gmail.com

About the PTA: PTA does a lot throughout the year to help support students and teachers. We help out with vision screenings, reflections, spirit week, maturation, decorating the school for special occasions, STEM Fair, Teacher Appreciation Week, SEP’s,  the Fun Run, a school gift, and more. Most of these things would not happen without the help of the PTA. Not only do we provide volunteers for these events, but we also fund some of them. In order for the PTA to do all the things that we love to do, we need your help. We would love to have you help make these events happen. Join the PTA!

Volunteering: Joining the PTA is just $5, but that money doesn’t go to us, it just helps the PTA function at a local, state, and national level. Some events like vision screenings and the fun run, we are helping out and many volunteers are needed, but other events like Reflections and Teacher Appreciation Week.  These activities are particular to PTA and are run by PTA’s across the nation.

Our monthly meetings are used to plan these events. Come join us to find out what’s happening in our school, get to know the principal and his staff along with finding out about all the ways we can volunteer in our school.  We would love your input!

If you aren’t able to attend meetings or volunteer your time in person, there are other ways you can still help the PTA.

Take home projects: We need to stuff bags and make posters for; maturation, STEM FAIR, Teacher appreciation and Christmas.  These can be done at home.  We do have a timeline when they need to be done, but you can still participate.  We need all the help we can get.

Donations: During some of our events we send out an email asking for a donation of food items or small prizes, snacks etc. SEP’s and Teacher Appreciation Week are some examples of these times when we ask for these kinds of items. Your donation helps make our budget go farther. So, make sure to get on our email list.

Easy Funding Opportunities: If you shop at Smith’s grocery store, Amazon, buy box tops items, or coke products. This is another way you could be helping the PTA. All you need to do is connect your accounts to the Franklin PTA so we can receive those funds. The best part about all these opportunities to help is that you were going to shop anyways. So, thank you for helping out.

We love to do all the things listed above, and so many more but we can’t do it without you. Through volunteers and  donations you can work with us to make them all happen.

Passive Fundraising Opportunities

Here are some small simple everyday things you and your extended family can do to help support your student at Franklin. Please encourage them to shop Smith’s and Amazon Smile, and collect coke bottle tops and box tops receipts. The more people who participate the better it is.

Smith’s Community Rewards:

  • You can help us earn money just by grocery shopping using your Smith’s rewards card. So easy.
  • Go to www.smithsfoodanddrug.com/account/communityrewards and log in or log into www.smithsfoodanddrug.com click on the person icon with your name under it that is at the top of the page, then on the left go down to Inspiring Donations and click on it.
  • Scan this to go to the website listed above.
  • If you currently have a Smith’s rewards number and account sign in, type “Franklin Elementary PTA” into the Find an Organization. Click on Enroll for Franklin Elementary School PTA.
  • If you do not have a rewards number or account: on the Inspiring Donations page choose “create an account”. Input the needed information and click on create account. On the next page there is a link for you to sign up for a rewards number, follow the link and put in the needed information. Once you have your account and rewards number follow the steps above to enroll your number with the school.

Box Tops:

  • Download the App: “Box Tops” on your device. Log in or create an account. Click on the person icon in the top right. Click on Manage Schools near the bottom. Click on add a school. Click on Find a School. Search for Franklin Elementary School. Click on it to add.
  • Once added, save your grocery receipts. In the app, click on +Scan, the bottom middle blue circle. Allow access to your camera and take a picture of your entire receipt and submit the receipt to earn money for our school. This may take a couple of tries, just keep working at it. The scan function can be temperamental.

My Coke Rewards:

  • Save those rewards numbers from your Coke products!   How it works: you enter the numbers on the inside of the lids of the drinks or there is a code on the inside of your case of coke products as well.  With them our school can get some pretty cool stuff. You should check it out.
  • Go to https://us.coca-cola.com/give/schools. Type in “84601”. Scroll down to and select Franklin Elementary School – Provo – UT – 84601. Click on Sign In/Join. Input the needed information.
