Flashcards

Choose the flash cards you need. Then, either print or photocopy them two-sided on heavy paper so that the front and back match up.  Cut between the flash cards and you are ready to go.

In the third grade, we learn that subtraction is the inverse operation for addition and that division is the inverse for multiplication.  So, we use the addition cards to study our subtraction facts and the multiplication cards to study our division facts.   For example, if I am studying my 5s for subtraction, I would use the plus 5 cards.  Just look at the number on the back of the card, then subtract 5 to get the answer.  I can then look at the front of the card to see if I was right.
